Welcome to Empowered Women USA

Women are the primary caregivers to their child in the beginning.
Education, general development, special needs, college planning, and general health and wellness are responsibilities that normally fall on the mother. Women have a tendency to worry more about the decisions to help prepare their children for the world. Later in life, they are the caregivers to their parents. The women need to worry about the declining health, long term care needs, and general health and wellness of their parents. All of these create financial challenges that must be faced.

Women face unique challenges. Women generally make less and live longer than their male counterparts. Research and statistics bear this out. On average, a woman makes 81 cents for every dollar that a man earns.1 Moreover, women - on average - live longer than men, and, therefore, need to save more to support their extended post-work retirement years.2 In fact, women who reached age 65 in 2015 are expected to live, on average, an additional 21.5 years compared with 19.1 years for men.3
